New Hampshire Paycheck Calculator

Estimate your take-home pay in New Hampshire after federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare.

About this New Hampshire paycheck calculator

New Hampshire does not tax the wages on your W-2, so with New Hampshire selected the calculator estimates the federal side of your paycheck: your 2026 take-home pay after federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare. Enter what you earn and how often you are paid to see the result.

It runs the same calculation as the US Paycheck Calculator. If you work in a different state, choose it in the calculator above.

Everything is calculated in your browser. Your figures are never sent to a server, written to the address bar or stored. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits, which sees that this page was opened, not what you typed into it. The privacy page has the detail.

What the calculator applies for New Hampshire

  • No state tax on W-2 wages. The New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration says the state does not have an income tax on an individual’s reported W-2 wages, so nothing is withheld from your paycheck for one.
  • A zero line, not a missing one. The results still list New Hampshire income tax, at zero and marked “No state income tax”, so you can see it was considered rather than left out.
  • No state withholding to enter. The form does not show the Additional state withholding field or a city or county choice for New Hampshire, and the calculator takes out no New Hampshire payroll contribution.
  • What still comes out. Federal income tax, Social Security and Medicare, plus anything you enter as a deduction, such as 401(k) contributions or health insurance premiums.
  • Checked at the source. How the calculator treats New Hampshire wages was checked directly against guidance published by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration.

An estimate, not your pay stub

The result is an annualized estimate rather than an exact payroll withholding calculation. Your employer’s payroll system works pay period by pay period, using the withholding forms you filed and your year-to-date pay — information this calculator does not have — so the figure on a given paycheck can fall either side of the one shown here.

Your pay stub is the authority on what was actually withheld, and your tax return is the authority on what you finally owe for the year.
