Estimate your take-home pay in Idaho after federal taxes, Social Security, Medicare and state taxes.
About this Idaho paycheck calculator
This is the CalcPaid paycheck calculator with Idaho already selected. Enter your pay and how often you are paid, and it estimates your 2026 take-home pay after federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and Idaho income tax.
It runs the same calculation as the US Paycheck Calculator. If you work in a different state, choose it in the calculator above.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Your figures are never sent to a server, written to the address bar or stored. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits, which sees that this page was opened, not what you typed into it. The privacy page has the detail.
What the calculator applies for Idaho
- Idaho income tax is a single 5.3% rate above a threshold. The calculator charges no Idaho tax on the first $4,811 of Idaho taxable income if you are single or married filing separately, or on the first $9,622 if you are married filing jointly or head of household. Everything above that is taxed at 5.3%.
- Pre-tax deductions lower your Idaho wages. Health, dental and vision premiums, FSA and HSA contributions, traditional 401(k) contributions and any other pre-tax deduction you enter all come off your pay before Idaho tax is worked out.
- A standard deduction comes off next. The calculator uses the federal standard deduction amounts for Idaho: $16,100 if you are single or married filing separately, $32,200 if you are married filing jointly and $24,150 if you are head of household. What is left is your Idaho taxable income.
- Nothing else is added for Idaho. The calculator takes out no Idaho payroll contribution and no city or county income tax.
- These figures have not been confirmed against a 2026 agency document. The 5.3% rate and the $4,811 and $9,622 thresholds come from reputable secondary sources and have not yet been re-checked against a 2026 Idaho State Tax Commission document. CalcPaid’s data attributes the use of the federal standard deduction amounts to the Idaho State Tax Commission, but records the Idaho figures as a whole as not yet confirmed.
An estimate, not your pay stub
The result is an annualized estimate rather than an exact payroll withholding calculation. Your employer’s payroll system works pay period by pay period, using the withholding forms you filed and your year-to-date pay — information this calculator does not have — so the figure on a given paycheck can fall either side of the one shown here.
Your pay stub is the authority on what was actually withheld, and your tax return is the authority on what you finally owe for the year.
